Toyota 4Runner
- H105
Details
A couple weeks ago we showcased a super clean Overland Tacoma running our Matte Bronze H105’s. It was only right to set up a shoot with the Tacoma’s brother: the Toyota 4Runner. Of course, the new gallery layout is being put to good use. We anticipate on shooting more cool builds like the Tacoma and this 4Runner in the future; so stay tuned.
Similar to the Taco, the 4Runner is no stranger to conducting business off the beaten path. The interesting thing about this car is that it’s been largely unchanged since 2009, and the 4.0 V6 under the hood has been around since the early 2000’s. Funnily enough, it’s previous competition—Ford Explorer, Mitsubishi Montero, and Nissan Pathfinder—have either vanished off the face of the earth or transformed into crossovers. So the 4Runner’s only real competitors are the Jeep Wrangler and Ford Bronco.
This Lime Rush 4Runner is fitted with some solid OEM goodies which are included in the TRD Pro package. For suspension, it’s running front and rear FOX dampers, TRD Pro Bilstein shocks with remote reservoirs, and TRD tune front springs. As for exterior, engine and functionality; the truck is set up with an aluminum TRD front skid plate, a chunky roof rack, a TRD exhaust system, and a new front grille with old school “TOYOTA” lettering. Now for the main event. We mounted the Hardrock Offroad H105 in a Matte Black finish and 17×9 +1 fitment. For tires, RBP came in clutch with their Repulsor M/T’s in 33×12.50R17. If you’re shooting for a solid off road set up or a functional overland build, Hardrock has a wide selection of 17″ wheels with offsets that fit most popular trail rigs.
